A seasoned lawyer responsible for the US and UK Desks at Santiago Mediano Abogados, Chris has spent his professional career both in-house and in private practice. The first decade of practice saw Chris working as a Barrister in London and subsequently spending some 8 years as a business and legal affairs executive both at the European legal HQ of Warner Bros., Filmed Entertainment in London, and then at Pathé Pictures. For the last 10 years Chris has worked in Spain for Santiago Mediano, both with Spanish clients that are operating internationally, and with English and American clients interacting with Spain. Chris is a member of the firm´s Company and Commercial team and his experience broadly covers all ambits of commercial and entertainment work, including IP licensing and franchising, structuring of corporate vehicles and joint ventures for entertainment projects, TV and film distribution, production and sales, magazine publishing, music rights management, IP rights and infringement issues, software development and licensing.
