José Ignacio Juárez
José Ignacio is lawyer who is an expert in public, administrative and regulatory law, legal areas in which he has spent his entire professional career and for which he has won several awards. Before joining SMA, he worked in the Offices of Garrido Falla, and has been Partner at Ariño & Asociados and Bufete Lopez Rodo. With over 20 years of professional experience, he has worked in almost all areas of administrative activity, advising and defending individuals, companies and public entities. José Ignacio, has also advised public bodies on issues related to their organization, legal and institutional framework and provision of services. He has an extensive experience in litigation in the Court of Auditors, Constitutional and TEDH- -including, leading some of the largest processes of collective litigation that have been developed in the public sphere in Spain and have obtained judgments with significant institutional and political impact.
José Ignacio has been a Professor of the Centro Universitario Villanueva (UCM), attached to the Complutense University. Regularly publishes editorial opinion in different daily national newspapers.
Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. PhD courses and research expertise.
Since 2011 he has been recommended by Chambers & Partners -uninterruptedly- as a prominent attorney in the field of public law.
Member of the Bar Association of Madrid.
